Chef Rang Tan hails from a rich cultural heritage, encompassing Chinese, Filipino, and Spanish influences. She grew up savoring dishes that bore the soul of her family’s traditions, fostering a deep affection for the robust flavors and ingredients inherent to traditional Spanish and Italian fare. Yet, from an early age, she discerned the magic in uniting ingredients and culinary techniques from different corners of the globe to create dynamic, thrilling, and progressive symphonies of texture and taste. 

Chef Rang also established a flourishing catering business in Manila. It is with this unwavering commitment that Rang’s Cocina Moderne embodies the ethos of “Tradition Reimagined, Flavor Redefined.” Our mission is to artfully blend the tapestry of cultures, infusing Spanish and Italian classics with nuanced Asian accents.
